PGSarts website welcomes all new S1 pupils! Here you will find information to help you with class and homework, plus websites to browse, and some fun web sites to keep you busy!

S1 Art Challenge!
Open to all S1 pupils - send us some of your own artwork or photographs 
(see home page for more info), in a digital format.  
Send it using our Staff contact page - Artwork could be a drawing / painting / mosaic / photograph / or 3D model you have made. Try to send the photo of your artwork as a Word or Powerpoint document, and remember to put your name/class on it. Some pupils have already sent their own work and it can be seen on the S1 Gallery page!

S1 Folders - Start of Term
Some new S1 pupils have requested that a copy of the S1 folder lettering sheet be displayed online. It can be used for other projects for hand lettering/ crafts/making cards/ posters etc!

The S1 FAMOUS FACES Unit 
(Tone-Portrait)

During this unit you will learn about drawing and painting techniques, look at some artists who have chosen the PORTRAIT as their subject matter.  You will produce a painting using TONE and TONAL range MIXING. To the right of the page -  you can find the 2 main homeworks for this unit. You can download these PDF files if you lose homework sheets issued in class by your teacher.

The S1 Tropical Rainforest Unit 
(Colour and Painting)

During this unit you will learn about drawing and painting techniques. You will also look at an artist called Henri Rousseau who has chosen the rainforest as his subject matter.  
You will produce a painting using COLOUR and COLOUR MIXING.
